Induced Draft Cooling Tower

Induced draft cooling towers which are mechanical draft type (Not Natural Draft) implies large fans placed on top of the cooling tower (discharge end) and the creation of low pressure to draw air upward through the tower while warm water spills down. The air is drawn into the cooling tower via air inlet mesh. Axial fans are always used for this type of draft. The induced draft cooling tower requires much smaller fan motors for the same capacity than forced-draft towers, and generally offers the efficient and economical solution to most of cooling needs. An induced draft cooling tower can be Wet, Dry  or Hybrid, Counterflow or Crossflow, Open or Closed circuit with Steel, FRP or Concrete body.
