Splash fills have revolutionized the cooling tower industry due to high resistance to fouling and clogging just as the traditional splash fills while maintaining the same efficiency as average film fills. Considering that in splash fills the water droplets are getting smaller after each collision to the filling, and the surface evaporation of the droplets take place in the middle of the air resulting in elimination of scaling. Also forming temporary films of water in the implemented dedicated areas of the structure improves performance. Special net design preventing clogging in air passage-ways results in constant efficiency of the unit throughout the service life.
